Vista Compatible Customer Review: CA Antivirus 2007 This product installed easily and flawlessly on my Windows Vista system. I haven’t had any problems thus far. It has been installed for about a month now. My only complaint is that I was expecting to see a noticable difference in system drag over the McAfee Security Suite which came preinstalled on my computer but there wasn’t really any change. I did notice that IE7 was even slower after I installed CA Antivirus but EI7 problems are another story, separate from any antivirus program. In general I like the product.

After many attempts to install, I kept getting fatal error blue screens, partial installations etc. When I tried to go to the online chat with their tech dept. It wouldn’t let me download the software necessary to use this feature. Then, it would not uninstall!! I’ve tried everything and it still is in there. It comes up on boot up saying it’s trying to install its firewall but something is missing, Well yeah!! It has trashed my network connections to printer’s etc. when I tried to uninstall the leftover stuff. This thing is the Freddy Krugger of software. Stay Away!

Every time I access the internet using either of the two browsers, IE or Firefox, sooner rather than later, I crash with a blue screen of death. I got so frustrated that I uninstalled it and now the internet access works normally. Did this product go through QA?

Brand new sealed full retail boxed edition. Customer Review: Beware of McAfee Rebate Scams McAfee doesn’t honor rebates as advertised. You can follow instructions to the tee and they denied the rebate for “missing” documentation that you did enclosed. Make copys of all documentation and then it’s a roll of the dice whether you recieve the rebate.

None of them could clean my system or find the root problem.I would still have a Utillities program to use and maybe another Antivirus program but for the hardcore stuff Spysweeper is the best.
