Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned 5-Quart Dutch Oven with Loop Handles
5 QT, Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven With Eared Loop Side Handles. Customer Review: A pleasant surprise. I have been contemplating getting cast iron cookware for sometime, especially after reading how toxic non-stick cookware are. My only regret was that i didn’t take this step sooner. The dutch oven was perfectly seasoned and ready to use. I was worried that food would get stuck, but so far so good. I have decided to replace all my cookware with Lodge cast iron cookware. Don’t hesitate if you are concidering this product.
Lodge Logic 12-Inch Pre-Seasoned Skillet
Pancakes, eggs, and bacon somehow taste extra hearty when cooked in a heavy cast-iron skillet. Cast iron creates superior heat retention, heats evenly, and loves a campfire, unlike flimsier pans. Fry up a mess of catfish, roast a chicken, or bake an apple crisp in this generous 12-inch pan that features two handles for heavy lifting, and two subtle side lips for pouring. While the skillet comes preseasoned to prevent food from sticking, it works best when sprayed or lightly coated with vegetable oil before use. Whether used in a kitchen or camp, this virtually indestructible pan should last for generations.–Ann Bieri Customer Review: the best NON-stick pan ever!!! I am new to cooking with cast iron. I bought this pan because of the rave reviews, cheap price, and my desire to avoid teflon for health reasons. (and yes “hard adonized” cookware has teflon in it.) When I received it I noticed a few areas on the edges that looked like the coating was flaking or peeling off. I called the company and they told me this was normal. It was just the “preseasoned” coating of vegetable oil, and that all their pans have some peeling like this. The first time I used this pan I made eggs and they stuck. I didn’t realize that the pan has to be REALLY hot before oiling it. I’ve used it many times since, and NOTHING STICKS!!! This is the BEST NON-STICK pan ever!!! I made the best egg and potato frittata in this pan, first frying it on the stove top and then baking it in the oven. When I turned it out of the pan, the pan released it PERFECTLY…with very little egg or potato sticking to the inside. I called the company and they reviewed the care instructions… Rinse in water before use Never use soap to clean Scrub it with a stiff brush after use Rub a thin coating of oil on it after use Wait until the pan is HOT before oiling it to cook with. This is an amazing pan, at an amazing price. And it’s good for you…it puts a little iron in your food instead of the possible carcinogens in teflon. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!
Camping 3
This is the third volume in BPitch Control’s Camping series, compiled by the label boss herself, Ellen Allien. Allien shares with us her crystal ball BPitch futurecast: these are all brand-new and exclusive tracks and remixes from the BPitch roster, and 2007 looks ace. Camping 03 features soon-to-come club-smashers and hushed grooves from the likes of Jahcoozi, Paul Kalkbrenner, Modeselektor, Sascha Funke, Ben Klock and Tomas Andersson, just to name a few. Trained masters like Sascha Funke and Paul Kalkbrenner rock next to newcomers like Zander VT and Larsson. And since it’s always nice to have guests on board, there are also tracks by Jahcoozi and Fairmont that nicely frame the record at both ends. Even old-school BPitch playas TimTim, Sylvie Marks & Hal9000 and Feadz join in with some fresh cuts. Be aware the imminent club hits are soon available on three slabs of wax - some as super-class DJ-friendly extended versions, such as Ellen Allien’s remix of a track by Safety Scissors as well the brand-new track by Ben Klock. Camping 03 is not only a sampler, not just a yearbook and not just a snapshot: it’s a neu world manifesto. 2007. Customer Review: Amazing label comp from Ellen’s hot BPitch Control. It’s hard to warrant buying unmixed electronic comps these days, as you have to take into consideration the overall price of the CD, as opposed to how many good tracks are really on it, that you can simply download to cut costs and just get the prime cuts you want. This label sampler proves that having the entire CD is not only worth it, but an absolute must. Not only do you get a somewhat similar techno themed unit of tracks, but you get just about every hot techno artist in Europe, and it’s mind blowing to realize they are all part of BPitch Control (with the exception of Jahcoozi and Fairmont). This truly spells what may be the best label for European techno at the moment. There isn’t a dull track on here, from the exciting rap sounds in two grime tracks, to the quirky vocals in Tomas Andersson’s Go To Disco, to the stunning final track by Fairmont. A nice variety of various forms of techno, and solid ones at that. We even get one new track by Ellen & Apparat, which sounds a lot like a track that would have fit nicely in with their Orchestra of Bubbles album, and really identifies their distinctive sounding collaboration. Don’t even stop to sample a few of these, because you are bound to like them all. Just buy the entire thing! The best unmixed comp I have heard this year. My only complaint would be they didn’t get to fit a Kiki or Smash TV track on here! Oh, well.
Varese Sarabande 25th Anniversary Celebration
Customer Review: The Sound Track Since Bernard Hermann This collection is bound to capture your heart and evoke a tin ear on successive tracks. I found much to like and some duds - easy to skip over. Very good value.
Victorinox Swiss Army Deluxe Tinker, Red
Still made in the village of Ibach, Switzerland, Swiss Army knives have been known for their quality and craftsmanship since they were first introduced over 100 years ago. Easy to carry along in a pocket, glove compartment, tool box, or boat, the Tinker is excellent for impromptu repairs. The 3-1/2-inch-long knife holds 17 tools in its traditional, red plastic casing. They include: large and small knife blades; a can opener with 3mm screwdriver; a bottle cap lifter with 6mm screwdriver and a wire stripper; scissors; a reamer with sewing eye; a Phillips screwdriver; pliers with a wire cutter/crimper; a multi-purpose hook; tweezers; a toothpick; and a key ring. All blades and tools are made of first-class, stainless steel (except for the plastic toothpick). Tools are separated by rust-proof aluminum alloy, while durable brass rivets and bushings hold knife layers together. This Swiss Army knife is covered by a full, lifetime warranty. –Cristina Vaamonde Customer Review: Everything I ever wanted Love this knife, but I am partial to the Swiss Army ones. Love the pliars, sissors, screwdrivers, blades, and especially the fact that it doesn’t have a useless and annoying cork screw on it. The phillips head is not as handy, the hook is usless, the awl is nice if you need it. The addition of the pliars makes the knife thicker, but it still feels comfortable in my hand, and isn’t so thick that it is s burden in my pocket. I don’t know how many things I have fixed, tinkered with, or how many splinters I have removed with these tools. Why would anyone want to carry a “regular” pocket knife when these exist and are so well made.

When I ordered they said it was in stock and gave me free shipping. It became April, and the shipping date was pushed back 4 times. Calling customer service, I learned that Amazon had not received the items from the vendor yet. So, Amazon, what does “In Stock” mean? If you ask me, they screwed up when they gave me free shipping accidentally and postponed the ship date so I would cancel the order.
Trek - A Journey on the Appalachian Trail
TREK is the story of four young men and the people they meet as they attempt to hike the 2,168 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. This documentary is shot and edited by the hikers themselves, and is the most accurate portrayal of Thru-Hiker life that has been produced to date. Spanning 14 states and five months, this critically-acclaimed film will inspire you to follow your own dreams, no matter what the odds. Customer Review: kildaju i definitely do not recommend this movie! it was the first of all my A.T. movies that i purchased, and by far, THE WORST! i agree with the one person at the bottom of this page that gave it a 2 or 3 star. the movie did seem like it was about four 21 year old bar buddies, romping through the woods. well, actually, about three bar buddies, b/c one of them, somehow, got ran over by a car off-screen; therefore, ending his AT thru-hike. i completed the A.T. in ‘04 and my experience was close to what you see in this movie, but God, the film could’ve been a lot better with a lot more scenery and a lot less cheesiness! the interviews are pretty well done, but i just got tired of seeing these guys filming each other most of the film. in a lot of these clips, they’re doing silly and stupid things for the camera, which took away from the film. if you’re looking for a good A.T. film to buy, i would recommend Appalachian Impressions or Walking With Freedom. Both are far better than this one.
Victorinox Swiss Army One-Hand Trekker Lockblade Pocket Knife (Black)
From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army knife a century ago comes this 12-item set of stainless-steel tools–all neatly contained inside a single implement that measures just 4-3/8 inches long (111mm). Sheathed in a black cover, the One Hand Trekker Lockblade is one of only three Swiss Army multi-tools with a one-handed serrated locking blade. A valued companion, this pocket knife carries a lifetime warranty against defects. The tools include a serrated locking blade, a bottle opener with a large locking screwdriver and wire stripper, a can opener with a small screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, key ring, toothpick, tweezers, reamer, and wood saw. About Swiss Army Knives In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener’s mother, and “inox,” or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer’s and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility. Customer Review: Excellent quality Just received this item today. As you would expect from Victorinox, it is an excellent quality knife. The blade was razor sharp out of the box. Had read some reviews saying it was too large to carry in your pocket, but it’s only slightly larger than my deluxe tinker knife and it feels right at home in my jeans pocket. The main blade is easily opened with one hand but the only complaint I have for the knife lies within the locking mechanism. It is positioned to where if you’re right handed you’ll need some practice to be able to efficiently close it with one hand. The bottle opener/large screwdriver also has a locking mechanism which makes it nice to pry things open with. The wood saw is nice with a very large blade, but it’s practically impossible to open with one hand and it doesn’t lock. I also had to examine the knife closely to find where the saw is opened from (the very tip of the saw protrudes from the bottom of the knife when it’s closed). Overall, this knife keeps up the Victorinox tradition of great quality for a good price. Get this if you want a swiss army knife with more emphasis on the knife part rather than all the unnecessary extras. The only thing I would change about the knife would be to reverse the locking mechanism so it’s more right hand friendly and to possibly add a locking mechanism to the saw, but other than these two very minor complaints it’s a great buy.
