Except this isn't MMA, this is hockey fighting.
In a hockey fight, no one can really get enough leverage to knock anyone out. Look at the punch that you say "knocked him the fuck out": no force behind it, didn't even hit anything delicate. Laraque fell because he's on ICE, and he dominated the fight before that.
