When did Bush try to stop the CRA? I would like to know. You mean to tell me that Bush pushed totally disasterous policies through Congress for 6 years and he couldn't stop a little policy from 25 years ago. Come on and try harder.
I hope Obama can clean up the historical mess left by Bush and the neocons any way he can. But the only gov't policies that ever work are from the left side of the political spectrum.

You fell for the biggest internet hoax since the "Palin had a brain" hoax. The CRA has been in effect since '80 and it just so happens to fail during Bush's reign? The CRA involved only commercial banks... how does that explain the investment banks failing? Why did Lehman Bros. have 13% of thier investments in F&F if they were so toxic? Why did so many high end developers so belly up when they had no connection to the CRA? There is a million shortcomings to your logic.

Ah, I see Fannie and Freddie financial melt down resulting from the Community Reinvestment Act is lost on you. Started by carter and enforced and continued by clinton. Bush tried many times to stop it but was turned down, but hey you know better. But I am SO happy Obama is going centrist at least with his picks. I hope they act that way when he takes office. It sure seems they will.

Are you one of those Ron Paul nutjobs?

Stop with the guilt by association garbage. None of these attacks are legitimate and even the sheople didn't buy this foolishness this last election. Funny nothing ever came of the trumped up charges against ACORN. Just a baseless distraction from McCain because he had nothing better to offer. Can offer 2 of these nonsensical charges about McCain that you can make about Obama. Daley, not daily, is one of the finest political figures in the USA and the Chicago boys will clean up Bush's mess.

Fanny and Freddie were minor factors in our recent crisis. The major culprits were Alan Greenspan, deregulators in Congress (yeah, I'm talking to you Gramm and McCain), the CEOs in the banking industry, and the people sucked into buying houses beyond their means.
Fannie and Freddie only got into trouble when they were deregulated and allowed to catch up with the other buyers of MBS.
Clinton raised the top tax rates and the economy took off.

Actually Obama thinks so also. Note recent picks and remarks. It seems he is saying thanks left for getting me in the office but I will lead from the middle and try to keep the gov't sound after fanny and freddy fucked everyone by buying worthless mortgages and then selling them to everyone.

Taxes have been cut and we are experiencing our worst economic times since the Great Depression. Your thesis makes no sense.

People's naivety, ignorance and ENVY never ends!
SO WHAT IF THEY GOT $20 or even $100 MILLION? The corporation they manage is probably worth billions of dollars. It is amazing how people are crying and whining about things their little minds don't grip!
Everyone who is insolent enough to judge like that reporter monkey in the suit is plainly ignorant and stupid.
I am not saying all this because I like CEOs but because it's the truth! Think about it.
