the wire is the part that pushes your teeth into the correct position, it forcibly does this over the course of the month, and then your ortho will tighten it and it will hurt again. It usually only hurts for like 2-3 days during which it will be hard to chew anything

well, when i had mine installed i sat there for about 40 mins, they finally came back and spent about 5 mins installing...

Its to help whatever the dentist is using dry quicker. They use it to dry the glue/cement used for braces, for sealants, etc. :) |
