When Malkin can split D and dangle like Crosby does, then i will say he is better. Until then Crosby remains the best player in the league.

It was a better team because Perry was on it. Perry has a Stanley Cup because he makes it happen. Sure Scotty and Pronger keep the puck out of their net but without Perry and Getzlaf it wouldn't have happened.

He won MVP because he was on a better team, also the reason why he won a cup. You are looking at the present, I will bet the Crosby will finish way ahead of Perry again this year.

Two years ago the response I always got was who is Corey Perry. I found this insane when Perry had won MVP of the Memorial Cup playing against Crosby for the Cup. Now fans except that he is good but don't acknowledge that the difference between 30 points and 27 points is squat.

I like Perry but he isn't in the same level as Crosby. Crosby traditionally has had a better second half and remember he is still only 21. To appreciate Crosby you have to look at Stamkos coming out of the OHL and playing for TB. Stamkos is a number one pick and a rookie at the same age as Crosby was. He hasn't done much. I like Stamkos too but it really puts Crosby's ability into perspective. Crosby won't break Greztky's records, the goalies and defensive systems are much more advanced today.
