An old E3 clip of warhammer online. This is the old version of the game which was scrapped before Mythic made their own verson. Even though it will never be released it's a cool trailer nonetheless. The voice of Father Nurgle in the background is just awsome. EDIT: Added subtitles and a warning.

I love the part about plaguebearers that they are walking around trying to count things and find order amongst the chaos, just like in a fever dream where you find you have to do something in order to find peace. Also I agree about Nurgle being kind to his followers, he feels like the kind fat grampa who hugs his grandkids andfgives them sweets, or in this case; boils. It also makes him feel more morbid than if he were to be sad and angsty.

I've always been fond of Nurgle subsequent to adoption of the Grandfather term. He is supposedly very kind to his followers, caring for them like a loving grandfather(Hence the name). Plaguebearers are also supposed have something of a demonic six-year-old mind. Example: "Buboes, phlegm, blood and guts! Boils, bogeys, rot and pus! Blisters, fevers, weeping sores! From your wounds the fester pours" -A Plaguebearer Battle Chant-

Actually according to the 6th edition Hordes of Chaos book he is referred to both as father and grandfather Nurgle as are his greater daemons.

Oh, by the way, you made a slight mistake in the description. It's Grandfather Nurgle, not Father Nurgle. Isn't it ironic that the current WAR is all about Tzeentch, Nurgle's arch-enemy?

This is awesome! While I don't think it would be nearly as fun as WAR, the vid is thrilling. I don't feel the voice is either Tzeentch or Nurgle, (Or at least should be), but Anrchaon, Lord of the End Times, The Everchosen.

Tzeentch voice is described as a cackling laughter with a hint of malice (in the realms of chaos books). The voice in the video on the other hand is deep and booming while still lacking the rage for it to be from Khorne. Also the "coming closer to your fate" bit directly clashes with Tzeentch's view that there is no end only change and rebirth, such finality as fate fits Nurgle's grand scheme much better.

Good point, blahblah1748. One actually doesnt see Nurgle in this Vid only his greater Demon and smaller ones connected to him. I think it´s Tzenntch. Least by the fact, that he was chosen in the WAR online Version now. More, because of several quotes 1.) that wrong-chosen-career part "sword over scroll" => Sorcery = Tzeentch 2.) "Thinking yourself free ... clever" => Manipulation, intrigues, people THINK to make decisions, but actually its him leading them. Thats Tzeenchs way again.

Furthermore, Im asking myself, how you manage to establish "decay and desease" as central aspects of that vid. All right, there are demons of Nurgle, undead, Skaven, but also orcs, giants, a grot, a bestigor or something like that and a demon of Khorne. None of them is anyhow connected to Nurgle. Yet, tzeentch manipulates them all. Looking forward for an answer! greetz
