I agree with MArk Ackbar... the deep materialist culture in the business world make people look at things in terms of profit and loss, humanitarian values are second place. Listen to Mark Berry's reply to if he feels guilt. I witnessed deceitful practices solely for profit and to 'make target' by many bosses in my work life. I've even made a manager cry one time when I called her out on it.

Thank you. The book is Joel Bakan's; I contributed to it by conducting many of the interviews. I don't have any research papers specific to Greece but I'd expect they're not too hard to find.

The point the film tries to make is that the design of the publicly-traded corporation compels people who work for it to act greedily. Look no further than today's headlines for evidence.

I understand the filth and shady practices that go hand-in-hand in the corporate world. However, these practices come from people, not the system per se. Capitalism isn't intrinsically wrong, greedy acts are. I actually believe "less is more" when it comes to extra legislation. As scary as industrial power can be by itself, our society won't be better off if we add incompetent and unaffective government into the recipe.

My uncle died 2 years ago from various health issues that all stemmed back from agent orange exposure in Vietnam. |
