i have to get my retainer first, im kinda scared because they will put a device on the retainer to break my jaw and move it forward to fix my smile. then i'll put on my braces. the device is like hinges that push your jaw bone forward. if i was 19 they would have yo preform surgery. if any one had this peez reply.]=-]

Me too! I started going to the orthodonist when I was 10 and got them at 13 (im 14 now :) it kinda hurt not really right after but more like a day later. it really feels like they are really pokey at first but that feeling will go away quickly. They dry out your mouth a lot but if you try to lick your teeth the bracket will probably come off. and the glue is just flat out nasty! But you'll have to cut up a lot of ur food cuz it hurts a lot at first but it goes away :) good luck! :)
