For me, this song is about a guy that I can't stop thinking about. He's gone now & he made me miserably happy. Why do we hand over the reigns without thinking. Are we really that hungry for love? Maybe I am, but that's always ended in disastrous results. I wish, I hope, I pray. It's unyielding now, but I don't want to feel this encumbered by a man who doesn't want me, but when he calls I feel it in my feel in my soul. I try to move in another direction, but I always turn the car around.
