I think all the guy was just saying that Bruce Lee was influenced by Dan Inosanto's methods with the nunchaku(the Philippine aspect) and not the Japanese evolution. I'm pretty sure he didn't imply that Dan came up with the idea to use them for fighting. Anyways I got confused when I first heard him say it.

hmm.. they said Bruce's friend dan inosanto came up with the idea of using the nunchakus (old japanese farmers tool) for fighting purposes. that's not even ture, ninjas in japan began using them ages ago.
