Thanks so much Peg! I am not rich by far on a teacher's salary. I save every single penny all year to spend summers in places like this. But with the economy the way it is now the pennies are getting harder to save. But I will again spend this summer in Southeast Asia some how, some way. I am not letting this financial crisis stop me! I must LIVE! :)

I have not been to Jamaica since the summer of 2001 chinamon79. I have spent the past 4 summers in Phuket and Krabi, Thailand as you can see from my channel. As far as nightlife, I hear Alfreds, Tree House and De Buss are still hopping! Get your jerk chicken at De Buss. Its some of the best in all of Jamaica. I have been all over west Jamaica from Ocho Rios to Savanna la mar and from Montego Bay to Grange Hill. There is no Jerk better than De Buss! Peace!~Ted

Hey PatongTed, Much respect for posting this mon! I am going to Jamaica in December with my sweetie. i have been once before about 6 years ago and have been wanting to go back ever since, so I am super excited! I totally agree with you about Jamaica's nightlife. Do you have any places that you could recommend in and around Negril?

Thanks jackeychang! Most people who go to Negril stay on their pre-packaged hotel compounds down on the beach (like Sandals). They are under the big misconception that it is dangerous to go out at night which is total BULL SHIT! Whenever I went to Negril, I made sure I went out at night! All Night! Mostly I hung out at Mi Yard until daybreak with Jamaicans not tourists. Peace! ~Ted
