when you dream cancel into a counter move the move the character performs the trigger animation automatically.

What's a "dream cancel"? Showing at text right in front your screen just makes it nerdy to someone's eye when they never heard of this game.

actually its not, they revamped it in a whole new level man. in the past yearly releases, I always had the feeling of a bit "cumbersome" while playing it, but with the release of XI the gameplay add more groove to it fast paced but still showcasting depth in gameplay like tech rolls, quickshifts and dream cancels. its like marvel vs capcom 2 with an explosive twist. plus the story is not bad, tales of ash series may still have exciting twist and turns.

People that are new to these games might find it cool and all that but the one's that played the previous releases will surely know the big diferences.

The special humor that characterized the series, the kind of acid jazz groovy music, I mean, almost what turned this games into a great way of spending time, it's missing now. Anyway, I'll keep my previous games and I will always prefer the KOF's games. I think that the mainly cause for all that bad changes were the new producers and new members for the team who's being make these games.

I have been a huge fan of the series all along, i agree with you that a lot has happened during the years, i see this screen and i realize that the series is no longer to bring more people into the fighting genere, the characters names are not even up there no more and its hard for somebody to remember a game with no names :( If I was to choose a top three i would go #1 96. #2, 98 #3, 00. Everybody sees the series from a different perspective but i think that it will always be a great game :D
