Spirituality is generally regarded as 1) a belief that man consciousness is the soul, which is immortal and lives beyond death. or 2) An emphasis on consciousness being the most important part of psychology without necessarily considering that consciousness is supernatural or immortal.
Religion usually refers to a set system of beliefs and practices shared by a specific group.
Many people will say for example, "I'm spiritual but I dislike organized religion".

I met a clinically-diagnosed "bipolar". Prolonged research via PubMed suggests the condition is very often a cynical fraud+hoax, used to explain/excuse/justify:
self-centered
vicious
irrational
vindictive
immoral
deceitful
unreasonable
unpredictable
selfish
vile/evil misconduct, to procure drugs/welfare checks/attention/sympathy.
Advice how to deal with these cheats: RUN! Shun them immediately. Forever. It'll save time & grief. Find someone worthy of your kindness/affection. You've been warned!

I don't know.....but my episodes and hospitalizations scared the shit out of me, and those supposed hospitals are prisons....they do not rehabilitate. I've been through many of the over the last 13 years. and yes they do drown in medication, usually the wrong type and wayyy to strong, it can make you worse but they (psychiatry) don't know what else to do except dope you up and knock you down. It can seen as kind of punishing. Fear, yes I don't think that is a "DSM IV" diagnosis but it's fear!

All this makes me think that perhaps these disorders are just a reaction to social pressures, to conform, and be who we are not. Just a thought..

Cool. Truly you must aspire to a higher power and face it as a "spiritual birth." I believe in the on and only elohim and I agree that religion is as bad as a doctor on a logical level. People are often duped my doctors pretending to know what they are doing, or by religion that pretends to follow god/christ/buda/ect but are only about stuffing you into a box/mold shape that they made up... HMmmm.. Sounds a lot like "professional help".. Where if not like them then then you have a disorder

gain access to this kind of information without it.
spiritual emergency.. I've seen other people talking about similar situations but the term seems to hit a chord with me. I remember one day feeling this sense that 'I knew it all' not that I did but this feeling that I was capable of comprehending the nature of the universe. It seems so obvious now what happened. Better late than never but I know that without the support of my family and some friends I would be dead now

is this only associated with bipolar disorders? I cant tell the major differences between autism, aspergers, ADHD, they all seem to mesh into one defintion in the DSM IV specs and seems more (or less specific) when its stated that an individual may experience more than 1 of these disorders at the same time. Its really a relief to see these topics discussed. I think this is the real purpose of mediums like youtube and the internet in general. I dont think that I would have ever been able to

"Individual preconceived perceptions may vary among majority perception." - Only at the present mind,it doesn't.
Everyone in the sense is in their own normality, even though feeling abnormal to everyone else. The majority of the population is easily manipulated or controlled by suggested ideas. Only a minority have a independant critical thinking mind that separates outside the box. So there is never a need to treat the sense of abnormality, when everything is already normal in the subconscious. |
