Bamboo - You raise an important point. Individuals can reduce their carbon footprint through energy conservation (insulation, reset thermostats, energy-saver devices, fluorescent bulbs, etc), fuel efficient vehicles, walking rather than driving when practical, or even solar panel installation in some cases. However, adequate CO2 mitigation also requires society-wide decisions involving carbon control measures and investments in alternative energy. Some of this has started, but it is still slow.

Whenever someone makes a claim I find contradicted by data, I find it useful to refer readers to the data rather than asking them to referee a YouTube argument. Anyone wondering whether the Earth is warming or cooling should visit climate trend sites - HadCRUT3, NCDC, GISS, UAH, RSS. I judge them to show both recent warming and long term warming (driven primarily by CO2), but readers should draw their own conclusions.
