Such sweet misery. It's interesting to see such exotic creatures (I'm from the USA) alive and in person, however, the cost in suffering is too great. How about this: The Ringling Brothers has to show each visitor the videos of their elephants being beaten, limping and bleeding. Not just any elephant abuse mind you, but the captured videos coming from their own "training." Thank goodness for the more moderate and aggressive groups such as PETA.

Greatest comment ever--I've never seen anyone use a bag of food to get an elephant to perform a trick. 'Nuff said. It's all about the threat of pain for disobedience that forces them to perform and then causes a complete mental breakdown and ultimately a rampage.

Animals may be less intelligent than humans, but they have the same need to be free, more so than humans. Elephants have an instinctual need to roam. Chaining them is utter cruelty. Beating them is beyond comprehension. They can't have elephants in a circus performance without beating them, end of story. Circuses will lie their a**es off to protect their greed.

can you believe that man said "if the elepant doesnt repont we give a harmless tap on there leg to remind them" when they showed the video of the trainer giving the elephant a light tap it looked more like a HIT to me cruel basted a elephant trainer got killed by a elephant the other day they found the trainer dead in the pen there not sure if the elephant killed him the trainer MUST of been mistreating the elephant though

yeah but these elephants are not loved they are trained by getting hit and by getting yelled at for doing the slighets thing wrong they are kept in small pens they cannot get out for a couple of months then they get bored and start rocking which can lead to death of the elephant and there is already not alot of elephants in the wild we dont need to loose anymore
