It's not horrible...it's gorgeous, and absolutely brilliant. I studied up to some 3rd year Physics classes in Univeristy, and the physics involved here is just absolutely beautiful, and very complicated.
Just absolutely brilliant ... brilliant.
What IS horrible, very horrible, is what we humans do with it. So much good can come of this science, but of course human nature dictates that we first focus on the bad that can come of it.

Showed this to a group of lively 16 year olds who aren't particulary interested in science or school in general.A colleague suggested this to show them the power of splitting the atom and the consequences it can have. It is the only time they have been totally silent for me. They were stunned and judging from their questions afterwards shocked

guys, the japanese were wayy worse then us. They killed all of their prisoners. NEWSFLASH:their prisoners were the americans!
They got us involved in a war that eventually killed 55 million people. This bomb ended the final stages of the war.
