if you make your arms paralell to your legs and not inward it makes the exercise much more difficult since you are distributing the weight to your core not your arms

my friend showed me the bridge...and it is harder than it looks but it helps the abs alot

Yes the cobra is a great exercise for strengthen the lower back.
