BillPerks, I'm glad to learn more about origins of the hammer dulcimer. Totally different technique to play it than the mountain dulcimer (which I heard mentioned since I posted here yesterday, and it was called "appalachian"). To answer your question of today under a thread above that began 7 months ago, the show was almost surely not commercial TV. On one of these videos the 3rd guy (Pete Seeger) acted as host and joined in with his guitar & voice. "Educational" TV '64? Mimi was 17 in 1963.
