http://www.ted.com A must-see for every parent and teacher. Education guru Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining (and profoundly moving) case for creating an education system that nurtures creativity, rather than undermining it. Sir Ken Robinson is author of "Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative," and a leading expert on innovation in education and business. (Recorded February, 2006 in Monterey, CA.) As a parent I found the public school system to be an assembly line education. They screw up a kid and that's OK as we just keep sending them more kids. They want parents to be involved making brownies and selling wrapping paper but to truly be involved is a no no. I pulled my kids out of the public school system. I was able to get them into a local Charter School and what a night and day difference. A place that takes advantage of my children's myriad strengths. It's wonderful.

Thanks for saying I'm the real problem. I used to be the guy in class whoplayed with forks and knifes during a lesson. I used to draw all day and make music on my sax. then i combined math with my creative skills. so yeah, i guess i am the problem. thank you for helping me realize what a terrible person i am.
