Hull City (The Tigers) beating Watford 4-1 (6-1agg)

Phil Brown's Tigers went into the 2nd leg play off with a two goal advantage. City looked nervous and panicky in possession for the first 35 mins of the game. The ball was lost and never looked to be coming Hull's way until Watford made a break in the 12th minuet and gave Hull position courtesy of a goal by Henderson who batted it in for a 1-0 lead on the game. Although Hull still had a one goal advantage I'd said at the time to my brother that that goal was probly the best thing that could have happened as it would have woke Hull up into playing a better game. However we had to wait quite awhile for them to rub the sleep out of their eyes and yawn before a double header made it equal with Garcia heading towards goal and Barmby making sure he had an impact on the historic game and headed it in for 1 -- 1 on the night. Phil Brown ripped his script for his half time team talk at this and his head was filled once again with thoughts of tac0-tics for the 2nd half. The second half started tentatively and during the first part of the half veteran players Barmby and Windass were banished to the bench and in the 70th min a brilliant goal by Folan gave Hull fans the first real thoughts of a first Wembley trip for the Tigers and their fans and this was hammered home in the 88th with Garcia ending any hope of a Watford comeback and a first professional goal for Doyle in the 90th min hammered the final nail in the coffin for the Southerners. Sorry about the sketchy 2nd half details as it was emotional and I got so pissed I forgot what happened apart from Watford getting mauled by the Tigers. Hull: Myhill, Ricketts, Turner, Brown, Dawson, Garcia, Ashbee, Hughes, Barmby Fagan, Windass,Folan, Campbell Doyle.Duke, Walton. Goals: Barmby 43, Folan 70, Garcia 88, Doyle 90.
