every geek on the internet who wants to be viewed as "special" self-diagnoses themselves as an Asspie. Go ahead, keep doing it. Eventually it's going to be like when bright children used to be called "gifted" until it got to a point where EVERYONE was "gifted" and every child was "special." You're robbing Asperger's of its "specialness" by applying it to yourself. Try to make something of your life without having to rely on a condition that you wear as a fake badge.

I think having to get over the social problems is worth it. Asperger's syndrome makes people call me an "intellectual" when I'm just being me!

I have Asperger's syndrome as well, and we can look normal for a while. The bad social skills part is that we break down after a while. While we're able to hang in there we sure look smart, though.
