I don't agree with inappropriate sinus tachycardia causing cardiogenic shock in the short term. I'm surprised they're treating you with Atenolol since you have asthma.

Sure it could. S/Tach can be a compromising dysrhythmia (cargiogenic shock, chest pain etc).

can sinus tachycardia be a dangerous rhythm if it persists for too long or goes above a certain rate? at what rate would it be considered dangerous? I have inappropriate sinus tachycardia and take 2 kinds of heart medication to try and keep it under a certain rate, verapamil and ateneol. It's stays normal most of the time as long as i keep taking my medicine.
