This is why I think Phil is one of the best drummers. Other than being able to actually make his drums sing, when he auditioned for Genesis, he nailed it because he was the last one to go and got to listen to all of the other auditioners and what they had to play. Being able to do that by ear is amazing.

What I don't get is how the drummers can do it with those lights flashing. Have you ever seen Trans-Siberian Orchestra? They have an excellent ligt show but I don't see how any of the musicians can perform with strobe lights going off all around them.

Always loved these 2 together. Each is a fabulous drummer on his own, but they really compliment each other, and push each other - a little bit of competition is a great thing!

The thing that has always blown my mind is the way that Phil makes it look like it is easy, when this is just about as good as it can get. I wish that I could see this again. Youtube brings it back, but the electricity in the hall just transports you...
