Seriously, Daft Punk is in Kanye's Video. You don't steal from someone, then invite them in you video. It was a collaboration.
WillCreations (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Daft punk sampled this in its entierty.
djjiles (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Incorrect. It was not a collaboration. KW sampled DP. (With permission obviously)

srb300 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Daft Punk did it better.
MumfredMigglesworth (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
More sluggish and uneventful than the Daft Punk version, but that fat-ass groove was so deserving of a wider audience...
DrMattDestruction (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

i hate when people consider an album terrible or bad just because it's based around sampling. Sampling is a large part of electro and house types of music and lots of DJ's use it
and they give full credit
so to all you idiots out there considering this stealing you are completly wrong
go and buy the Discovery album and in all liner notes for the songs they sampled you will find credit twords the sampled song
Thomas Bangalter (part of daft punk) said sampling is not something they keep a secret |
