Typical airsoft sniper long gun shoots at about 300fps up to about 600fps when highly modified. Modern pellet guns shoot at much higher velocities. I have a cheap $100 Gamo Big Cat pellet gun thats rated at 1200fps off the shelf and can consistantly hit bottlecaps (1 inch groupings) at about 30 yards with it. Pretty accurate. Could easily hit a human size target out to 50 yards.
