He probably called him. He's notorious for that type of thing. Not sure he told him not to say "filth flarn filth flarn filth". I believe Richard Pryor would say: "tell him to have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up". Even a bit about what Pryor said on the phone is the funniest thing in a pretty good bit from a great comedian. Pryor was a god.
